The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, and communication of appointments for the patients and clinicians, in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner. Direct and frequent communication with sales reps, clinicians, and management.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Schedules Respiratory Therapist visits by phone and email to ensure patient compliance and care.
• Assists with scheduling and coordination of new patient setups.
• Directs frequent communication with multiple team members such as respiratory therapists, sales reps, and management.
• Documents important and required patient information such as patient encounters, communication with referral sources and communication from management throughout various systems.
• Coordinates equipment updates and service.
• Tracks paperwork that requires signatures as well as pick-up of equipment.
• Provides referral sources and sales reps with download and setting requests.
• Maintains patient records to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local requirements, such as HIPAA (PHI), and adheres to Med Emporium’s Policies & Procedures.
• Reports all customer complaints through the appropriate customer grievance process.
• Participates in initial and on-going employee training and staff meetings.
• Assists other staff members whenever possible.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Sr. Clinical Manager.

Work Environment This job operates in an office-based and/or remote setting. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Education
• Graduate of an accredited High School

Required Skills & Abilities
• Strong multi-tasking ability.
• Experience in working in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, to work effectively with a wide range of people, including referral sources, patients/clients, service agencies, co-workers, clinicians and management.
• Ability to maneuver between multiple computer programs / systems and basic I.T. knowledge.
• Highly organized, ability to develop, organize, and maintain scheduling system.
• Experience in homecare or related healthcare field preferred.
