The role of VP Clinical Administration at Respire Home Care Services encompasses responsibilities focused on leading the delivery of top-tier patient care across the enterprise. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, this position aims to elevate patient outcomes and satisfaction while ensuring the operational and fiscal efficiency of Respire’s respiratory and ancillary service groups across its regions. Working in tandem with the VP of Warehouse & Distribution and VP of Customer Service, the VP Clinical Administration plays a pivotal role in devising and executing initiatives that promote collaborative ties with Sales, referring health system, supply chain, warehouse & distribution, and customer service teams. Additionally, the position involves joint responsibility in crafting a pipeline of Respiratory Therapists and ensuring employment agreements / incentive programs that align with the enterprise’s strategic goals. With a focus on enhancing Clinical Administration integration across the Respire enterprise and providing administrative management of Respire’s Respiratory Therapy group, the VP Clinical Administration ensures service efficiency and elevates patient satisfaction. As a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, VP Clinical Administration assists with leading clinical Administration, regional clinical teams, and centralized trainers. Their core responsibilities revolve around upholding the organization's mission and driving excellence across all clinical care aspects including maintaining Standard of Care policy, managing productivity, ensuring effective training, ensuring appropriate clinical documentation compliance, and ensuring that the highest level of quality care occurs with each home visit. Additionally, the VP Clinical Administration will oversee the Clinical Performance Improvement program as well as be responsible for facilitation of Compliance audit remediation, and annual competencies.

Responsibilities and Duties of the VP Clinical Administration:

Clinical Leadership and Strategy:
• Supports the development, and review of Clinical Services department policies and procedures as it pertains to procedure Administration and compliance within the corporate Standard of Care, including Brightree configuration.

Quality of Care and Performance:
• Ensures the accuracy and completion of patient/client documentation (Chart Audits) as part of the PI Program.

Compliance and Accreditation:
• Ensures adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.
• Keeps informed of healthcare regulations, preparing the group to adapt to legislative changes, in tandem with the Chief Clinical Officer.
• Maintains compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, the Companies policies and procedures, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Reports any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
• Works directly with the Compliance Officer on all accreditation standards, PI, and outcomes.

Operational Management:
• Partners with the Executive Leadership Team and regional managers to streamline clinical Administration and processes. • Collaborates cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure clinical compliance.
• Supervises the adoption of Brightree and EMR systems to augment clinical workflow.
• Coordinates with other internal departments identifying, designing, and implementing clinical protocols.
• Ensures key performance metrics are managed by each region including timely chart completion, attempted/completed visits, total visits, productivity, readmission, and overtime.

Team Leadership and Development:
• Cultivates and supports clinical staff, advocating for professional development and continuous improvement.
• Enhances interdisciplinary teamwork and communication across the organization.
• Aids in recruiting, hiring, and then training respiratory staff by using a consistent documented training program.
• Assists in performance evaluation of each RCP annually as it relates to clinical policy; establish annual performance goals and monitor progress toward these goals on a consistent basis.

Financial Oversight and Budgeting:
• Engages in financial planning for clinical services as it pertains to staffing, transportation, mileage/expenses, and manages budgets to meet fiscal goals.
• Assesses the profitability and efficiency of clinical service lines.
• Represents the clinical enterprise in monthly operating reviews and attend ELT meetings.

Patient Experience and Advocacy:
• Responds to Respiratory Care client/patient inquiries as needed and resolve client/patient complaints in a timely manner that cannot be resolved by the Sr. Clinical Manager.
• Elevates clinical complaints to the Chief Clinical Officer when appropriate.

General Executive Leadership:
• Monitors and elevates clinical concerns to the CEO to ensure that the Company is viewed as the premier provider of respiratory care.
• Represents the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients/patients.

Qualifications:
• Respiratory Therapist (preferably BAS degree).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in home care required.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.
• Proven leadership, customer service skills, sound independent judgment, initiative, and solid organizational and time management skills required.
• High level of competency in both written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past three years.
