Advent Home Medical, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, with a focus on general ledger reconciliations, expense analysis, and fixed asset management. This position supports the monthly and year-end close processes, assists with audits, and ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and committed to delivering precise financial work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Reconciliations (Balance Sheet & Bank)
  • Perform accurate monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts (cash, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, etc.).
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze reconciling items, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
Expenses & General Ledger
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, amortizations, reclassifications, and intercompany activity.
  • Properly code and enter auto-paid vendor invoices and credit card transactions, ensuring correct approvals and timely processing.
  • Conduct expense fluctuation and variance analysis versus budget/forecast; communicate findings to management.
Fixed Asset Management
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including acquisitions, transfers, dispositions, and roll-forwards.
  • Calculate and record depreciation and amortization monthly.
  • Coordinate with operations and purchasing teams to assign asset tag numbers and support periodic physical inventory counts.
Compliance & Audit Support
  • Assist in monthly and year-end close processes to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors with documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial activities.
Work Environment
This position functions in an office-based and/or remote setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Experience
  • 1–3 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
  • Healthcare or DME industry experience is a significant plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy standards.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Hours may vary based on business needs.
