If so, Respire Homecare Services is looking for YOU!The Regional Director of Sales is responsible for leading the company’s efforts in identifying, establishing, and nurturing key partnerships to drive business growth, innovation, and service excellence in the respiratory homecare market. This role will focus on developing collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, payers, manufacturers, technology innovators, and other strategic partners to expand the company’s reach, enhance patient outcomes, and optimize operational efficiency. This role typically involves developing strategic partnerships, business growth and expansion, collaboration with internal teams, contract negotiation and management, market insight and trend analysis, patient-centric approach, and performance monitoring and reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Creates and executes the Sales growth strategies to achieve volume expectations and the investment thesis.
- Expands sales in existing and new accounts.
- Identifies and opens new territories including the leadership of budgeted DeNovo markets.
- Works with the payor contracting team on strategies for obtaining new patients.
- Hires, fires, and manages Sales Representatives and Clinical Liaisons.
- Ensures a firm grasp on the state of each market and ensures no surprises including referral satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
- Creates and manages Sales analytics for proper management of the team – it’s critical to have a forecasted pulse on the where volume will land each month and early corrective actions to achieve goals.
- Communicates regularly (daily/weekly) with the CSO and management team regarding status, forecasts, and issues.
- Maintains current metrics, reporting tools, and dashboards and then make recommendations based upon prior experience on improved reporting approaches.
- Reviews, modifies, implements, and regularly executes on sales training/re-training programs to bring better execution, consistency, and better results from the team in the region.
- Fills any open or turnover slots with robust sales representatives.
- Modifies and creates new marketing materials working with the brand development project to enhance our leave behinds for referring health systems.
- Manages the local social media tools to focus on facilitating patient’s decision to select Respire.
Education
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
- 1-2 years of experience in DME homecare.
- Strong Business Acumen: Knows how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future practices, trends, benchmarks, and information affecting portfolio business and organization and can translate that to the client's business. Knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
- Customer Focused: Trusted Advisor mindset. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with clients in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients and gains their trust and respect.
- Consultative Selling: Uses a sales approach that prioritizes relationships and opens dialogue to identify and provide solutions to meet client's needs. Understands the challenges faced by clients so solutions can be positioned in a compelling and effective way.
- Organizational ability: Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network. Understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures; understands the cultures of organizations. Relates well to people and can effectively navigate through an organization.
- Health Domain Knowledge: Demonstrates a knowledge of the US healthcare ecosystem and employer sponsored coverage. Able to develop and make connections between broader healthcare strategies and health and wellbeing strategies.
- High level of competency in both written and verbal communication skills.
- 15+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
- Sales and/or Account Management, along with health care and/or data-analytics experience required.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Experience in leading negotiations, managing business deals, and structuring partnerships.
- Experience driving growth through partnerships, either by expanding the customer base, securing new revenue streams, or optimizing existing collaborations.
- Proven expertise in account services/consultative selling techniques, product knowledge, procedures, and administration.
- Excellent knowledge and skill using Microsoft Office Suite.
