The Sr. Clinical Manager is responsible for delivery of Respiratory Care services to client/patients of the Company. He/she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the respiratory therapists in his/her geographical area as noted by the VP Clinical Adminstration.Responsibilities and Duties of the Sr. Clinical Manager:
- Reports any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Represents the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with client/patients.
- Coordinates delivery of clinical services and/or equipment to client/patients, including Respiratory Therapy (RT) equipment delivery, set-up and pick-up from client/patients’ homes.
- Ensures the accuracy of patient/client documentation.
- Ensures communication with physicians regarding the clinical progress of Respiratory Care client/patients.
- Responds to Respiratory Care client/patient inquiries as needed, and resolves client/patient complaints in a timely manner.
- Oversees response to emergency calls as needed – maintains after-hour on-call coverage.
- Monitors operational expenses for compliance with the Company expense budget.
- Generates and analyzes reports (KPIs) for review with VP Clinical Administration.
- Oversees record keeping so that all information is accurate and complete; documents updates to client information including: 1) changes in patient profiles, 2) changes in CMNs, 3) changes in claim files, 4) changes in scheduled deliveries, and 5) changes of address and other contact information.
- Manages the flow of up-to-date information between Clinical Services department and other parts of the Company, such as billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer service, and shipping.
- Ensures the implementation of processes to measure, assess, and improve the performance of the department.
- Develops, reviews and suggests changes to department policies and procedures as needed.
- Ensures ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensures that the department meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement ‘’best practices’’ in all departmental activities.
- Recruits, hires and directs Respiratory staff as needed
- Arranges for performance evaluation of each RT annually; establishes annual performance goals, and monitors progress toward these goals on a consistent basis
- Reviews and approves payroll for department staff
- Delegates authority as necessary to ensure that the duties of the Respiratory Services department, and all responsibilities of this position, are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participates in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies
- Participates in the Company’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator
- Participates in Company committees when requested
- Pursues continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Chief Clinical Officer and VP Clinical Administration.
- Certified and/or Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care, and licensed by the State.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of respiratory homecare experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past three years.
- Ability to organize and plan the activities of subordinates, and to delegate appropriately.
Pay: $80,000 Based on Experience + Benefits
