We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will work under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, compounding, inventory management, and customer service. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to patient care while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations.Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and verify prescriptions for accuracy
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure completeness of information
- Compound topical creams, ointments, and oral liquid medications
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records
- Assist with scheduling medication deliveries
- Respond to patient and healthcare provider inquiries; refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist
- Bill insurance and process insurance claims
- Sort, stock, label medications, and monitor inventory levels
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy environment
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician registration/certification
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Michigan
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Inventory and supply management experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable team player with strong time-management skills
